What You'll Do in This Position
Plan, develop, implement and administer a variety of broad or unique programmatic, technical or administrative functions in direct or indirect support of operations. Provide immediate level guidance, work direction, oversight, and leadership to a functional work group(s), section or unit in an operations or Operations Support capacity.
Perform a wide variety of complex, advanced and diverse functions in direct or indirect support of operations in the area, department, section, unit or work group assigned. Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet objectives.
Provide centralized control of a program or process that supports operations. Interpret and communicate programmatic, technical or process changes to operations personnel.
Monitor and assess operations-related evolutions in facility systems or equipment. Ensure the safe and optimally efficient operation of facility systems and equipment. Perform periodic reviews and assessments to ensure facility systems are operating properly and are being maintained within required limits. Maintain a comprehensive awareness of scheduled or anticipated work evolutions or other related Operations Support activities that could impact facility operations on shift/area of responsibility.
Demonstrate positive and adverse trends in operations and Operations Support performance measures. Identify causal factors and develop recommendations to mitigate adverse trends and to enhance positive trends. Prepare and/or review facility work packages and related work control processes in support of operations. Review and ensure the communication and understanding of new and revised technical and operations procedures, bulletins and required reading to operators and other relevant Operations Support personnel. Conduct training for operations personnel on new systems and equipment and evaluate and critique performance. Function in a variety of contingency coordinator roles in support of operations.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Other Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance
NICET Level 2 certification required in Water and/or Alarm & Detection.
Qualifications We Desire
College degree in a technical or mechanical discipline preferred.
Previous background with extensive experience in fire protection alarm, detection and/or fire water supply systems.
Simplex and/or Notifier Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
NICET Level 2 certification required in Water and/or Alarm & Detection.
