JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: FT Primary Counselor
DEPARTMENT: FRC
REPORTS TO: Lead Clinician, Program Director or Partner
FLSA STATUS: _ Hourly X Salaried
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reinforce clinical program and staff adherence to the program standards.
- Assume responsibility for case load of 8-10 patients, interviewing, evaluation and development of treatment plans for plans for patients, preparation of discharge summaries and/or continuing care plan.
- Assist the Clinical team and Partner(s) in the supervision and documentation of clinical service provided by the treatment team; assist in the assurance that these services are in accordance with the Standards of Care established by FRC.
- Provide specialty expertise to the team for provision of specialized services or for the management of difficult cases; helps teach new staff the principles of effective counseling and case management.
- Assume responsibility for other positions as requested.
- Assist in the coordination of communication and program interaction with outside educational, medical, psychiatric, and psychological services.
- Provide orientation in accordance with training standards.
- Is assigned to provide on-call coverage.
- Provider direct clinical care.
- Provides service satisfaction to customers and strives to continuously improve service delivery.
- Review cases with clinicians as needed and/or requested.
- Utilizes in-depth-knowledge of clinical specialty to identify treatments, resources and long/short term care needs.
- Participate in weekly multi-disciplinary staffings and lead treatment staffing of current cases.
- Maintains patient confidentiality as directed by FRC policy.
- Consults with clinical supervisor as needed to ensure appropriateness of treatment.
- Consults with the family whenever necessary to facilitate the implementation of the care.
- Interfaces with all appropriate community resources to implement the care plan (i.e., public sector, outside providers, educational facilities) as appropriate.
- Completes clinical charting notes/forms in timely, clear, concise and thorough manner.
- Maintains professional licenses and keeps current with medical literature and CEUs related to appropriate specialty. Attends FRC and external training courses as appropriate.
- Performs all other responsibilities and duties deemed necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Master’s Degree in mental health field or equivalent.
- Minimum of LPC/LSW/AMFT/PsyD/PhD or eligible.
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor preferred.
- Experience in the field of mental health with adolescents preferred.

Hours:
Mondays: 1200pm-830pm
Tuesdays: 1200pm-830pm
Wednesdays: 4 floating hours when caseload is 8 or above
Thursdays: 1200pm-830pm
Fridays: 1200pm-830pm
Compensation: $50,000-65,000 salary (will increase as licenses and/or certifications are obtained)
On-Call: $200/week additional compensation
Life Insurance of $50,000
Paid time off: 88 hours annually
401K Plan: 4% company match following 1styear of employment
Paid Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day
We are open the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve-all clinicians are required to work 1 of these holidays per year and are compensated by salary for all others.
