Form of workWe are looking for a talented RN, LVN, or highly experienced Medical Assistant to fill the role of Primary Clinical support for a busy orthopaedic surgeon. Duties include calling patients back to the exam room, assessing the need for X-ray evaluation before rooming patients and obtaining a comprehensive history. The ideal candidate should be a strong multi-tasker, thrive in a demanding environment, and have considerable knowledge of orthopaedic medical management. If you have previous experience in Orthopaedics or Sports Medicine, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with and drawing injections.
- Input orders for imaging, PT, DME, orthotics, labs, and referrals.
- Patient phone calls and encounters dealing with topics like medications, treatments, test results and surgery.
- Knowledgeable in the intricacies of scheduling surgery and imaging.
- Function as a role model, team leader and resource person; providing guidance to coworkers.
- Confer with physician to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Work collaboratively with all providers of care including PT, Home Health, Rehab, Hospital, DME providers and Implant Representatives

Requirements:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience
- Active License and/or Certification
- Ability to multi-task without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Exposure to and knowledge around orthopaedic medical management
Preferences:
- Experience and proficiency in EMR systems
- Proficient in removing staples and sutures from post-operative incision sites.
