About Us:Dependable Staffing Agency is a trusted provider of healthcare professionals dedicated to ensuring high-quality staffing solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking experienced Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) to provide telemedicine services for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
Qualification Requirements
Contracted Temporary/Relief Primary Care Physician assigned to CDCR, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope to those outlined in a public or private institution.
- Additional experience may be required for specialized areas such as emergency medicine, surgery, etc.
- Obstetrics/Gynecology experience may be required for assignments in female Institutions/Facilities.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California with a valid Physician license issued by the Medical Board/Osteopathic Board of California.
- Board Certified as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D./D.O.).
- Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
- Proficiency in the English language for effective communication with CDCR/CCHCS staff.
Primary Care Physicians will provide services within the scope of practice for Primary Care Physician services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-quality telemedicine services within the scope of practice for Primary Care Physician services, following CDCR/CCHCS policies and procedures.
- Ensure basic computer competency.
- Adhere to established medical staff by-laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with universal infection control precautions.
- Obtain prior authorization for treatment and transportation/transfers as required by law and CDCR/CCHCS policies.
- Do not perform experimental or investigational treatments without prior authorization.
- Adhere to clinical reviews and formulary guidelines provided by CDCR/CCHCS.
