Summary
Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team. The position will work closely with corporate leadership, as well as having direct interaction with all Business Units within the FMD structure. It offers great exposure to all aspects of the business, and the ability to have real specific measurable influence in the company’s success. This role is responsible for supporting pricing efforts across all business unit operations, including analysis, training, guidance, support, and integration, in coordination with a team of internal and external stakeholders. This role will assist in data analysis, price list creation, costing maintenance, market research, pricing justification, pricing guidance, and training. This role will also support the integration and execution of new acquisitions to FM into both our pricing philosophy and practices, as well as standard systems.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of pricing structure for company products consistent with corporate level guidance and principles
  • Provide coordination, guidance, and training on pricing initiatives amongst sales, marketing, finance, IT, and other teams
  • Conduct data investigations and assisting business partners with complex data analysis and ad-hoc queries, to support data-driven pricing decisions
  • Responsible for maintenance of effectiveness of assigned standard systems
  • Assist in the development of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards, such as for evaluation of pricing impact across business units and markets
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field required
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in Business Analysis or in a related area, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and documentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to synthesize large sets of data into reports or presentations that are beneficial to the business, and present effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel)
  • Autonomous
  • This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
