Work Locations: Spokane, WA or Houston, TX

 

Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, you will be providing exemplary customer service to our Stakeholders. The Price Book Manager leads the Price Book team and will have the overall responsibility for the accurate implementation of all item costs, retails and promotional attributes for a centrally managed, electronic Retail Price Book.

  • This Price Book Manager will be the key liaison for ensuring the Merchandising, Marketing, Accounting, Price Book and IT teams are aligned in order to manage the increased demands of the timely and accurate flow of data that impacts these departments. 
  • The position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional computer skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Spreadsheet and margin analysis, including sorting and structuring data to develop effective pricing strategies and accurate record keeping, are also essential functions of this position.

 

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Price Book Manager opportunity, you will have: 

  • Minimum three (5) years retail experience required.  Accounting experience is highly desired. 
  • Must be computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.  PDI RMS or Enterprise Price Book experience is a plus. 
  • Extremely detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate detailed promotions and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, flexible and able to multitask to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, anticipating problems before they happen.
  • Responsible for the day-today activities and the results of those activities relating to the operation of the company's Price Book database including, but not limited to entering and maintaining item and pricing information in the PDI RMS, Enterprise, and/or McLane Quasar Price Book.
  • Provides training, operational, and technical guidance to Price Book team.
  • Schedules and manages all retail price and cost changes on specific items in the Price book database in collaboration with the Merchandising Managers.  Maintains detailed historical price change records. Ensures completeness and accuracy of all data input and maintenance.
  • Coordinates with audit team and accounting to facilitate any research and corrections as needed including recipe and margin analysis, cost discrepancies, inventory issues, invoice variances and delivery notes. 
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of all vendor rebates through PDI Rebate Manager.  Assist accounting with any vendor short pay inquiries. 
  • Create clear sales plan and merchandising program implementation directions to Operations utilizing Zenput (or existing communication platforms) to communicate key actions and deadlines (price changes, distributions, promotional details, etc.).  This includes management of consolidated approved vendor promotions, assist in determining upcoming promotions, update POS ordering grid, and order monthly point of sale items.
  • Manage the maintenance of store schematics including the timely creation of store reset packets, reset orders, and tag prints as applicable. 
  • Oversee new vendor implementation and the development and maintenance of systems (EDI, auto-replenish, third party delivery systems, loyalty programs, etc.) that support the flow of inventory through the store.

Pay Range: 

$83,036 - $124,554 per year

Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan and are able to purchase company stock at discounted prices. Other Compensation:  

Employee is eligible for an annual incentive program targeted as 10% of annual pay based upon both company financial performance and individual performance to goals.
