Northstar is seeking to add a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd ShiftPress Brake Setup Operatorto our team. Job Responsibilities:
- Program, set up and operate Press Brake to produce new parts meeting specifications, including customer and internal requirements
- Interpret work orders, drawings, and blueprints
- Load the machine with sheet metal for production and adjust machine speeds as necessary
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates and rulers
- Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
- Use a CNC controller to input information into the machine
- Perform complex programming using all features of the Press Brake
- Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality or other factors as they arise, including routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures, ensuring machine is calibrated, cleaned, and operating correctly
- Complete and maintain paperwork
- Identify assembly parts
- Set up light gauge metal
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of experience in Press Brake operations
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic job shop environment
- Organized, detail oriented, and dependable
- Ability to solve problems
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to complete a drug screen

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours with opportunity for overtime
