Press Brake Setup Operator, Full-Time, 2Nd Shift

Northstar is seeking to add a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd ShiftPress Brake Setup Operatorto our team. Job Responsibilities:

• Program, set up and operate Press Brake to produce new parts meeting specifications, including customer and internal requirements
• Interpret work orders, drawings, and blueprints
• Load the machine with sheet metal for production and adjust machine speeds as necessary
• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates and rulers
• Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches
• Use a CNC controller to input information into the machine
• Perform complex programming using all features of the Press Brake
• Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality or other factors as they arise, including routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures, ensuring machine is calibrated, cleaned, and operating correctly
• Complete and maintain paperwork
• Identify assembly parts
• Set up light gauge metal
• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in Press Brake operations
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic job shop environment
• Organized, detail oriented, and dependable
• Ability to solve problems
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to complete a drug screen

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours with opportunity for overtime
Shifts available: Evening (2:30 PM-11 PM)
