Preschool/Pre-K Teacher

The South Shore YMCA Early Learning Centers in Hanover and Quincy are currently seeking to fill Preschool/Pre K Teacher positions. This is a full time position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule.

• Successful candidates must be licensed as a Preschool Teacher by the Massachusetts’ Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)-degree preferred but not required.
• Successful candidates for all educator positions should provide community leadership for family/child development, encourage life-long learning in students, promote the YMCA’s core values, and show commitment to the Y’s three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

This position works under the general direction of the Early Learning Center Director and is responsible for the education, curriculum planning, family engagement, supervision and care of children in the Early Learning Center Preschool/Pre K classroom.

• All educators employed by the South Shore YMCA Early Learning Centers will be required to successfully complete the following trainings: CPR/First Aid, OSHA and Emergency Procedures, Child Abuse Prevention and Reporting, new employee orientation and South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center orientation including all EEC requirements such as online medical training, PQ registration, and professional development trainings.
