Tollhouse Preschool is seeking a responsible, nurturing, and creative Associate Teacher to work in our Young 3's Preschool Classroom! Applicant should have excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate professionally with families, staff and children. For over 38 years, our center has been offering high quality care for children 6 weeks to 10 years. We are committed to assisting children grow and develop socially, physically, and cognitively. Duties

• Planning and facilitating classroom and outdoor activities.
• Preparing and planning the classroom environment, preparing materials and setting up activity centers, cleaning up after daily activities.
• Observing, documenting, and evaluating development for each child.
• Implementing individualized lesson plans.
• Supervising children closely at all times during the day.
• Teaching children to socialize, play, and communicate with others appropriately.
• Assisting entire staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized center.
• At all times, maintaining a professional demeanor, attitude and appearance.
• Respecting confidentiality at all times.
• Planning/implementing behavior management strategies and individual modification plans.
• Assisting children with basic life skills, including bathrooming, dressing, handwashing, and eating.

Requirements
Lead Teacher qualified: 18 credits in ECE (3 of which are in Child Development) and experience working with young children. Associate Degree preferred.
Associate Teacher qualified: 3-9 credits in ECE (3 of which are in Child Development) and experience working with young children.

• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Physical ability to bend down to children's level, lift children, and maintain high level of energy.
• 1st Aid and CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification.
• Participating in staff and team meetings, parent/ teacher conferences, center wide events, and staff trainings.
• Follow NH Childcare Licensing Rules and Guidelines.
