Job Description
We are looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to work one-on-one or in a small group setting (up to 4 children), ages 18 months to 4 years old. Our ideal candidate is a fun and passionate educator who is creative and loves working with children. We inspire young students to love learning through hands-on activities, curiosity, and positive reinforcement while meeting all developmentally appropriate milestones. Our goal is to contribute to the healthy mental, emotional, and social development of each child so they thrive now, making their transition to the next level of education seamless. This is a daytime position for roughly 10 hours per week. It would start on September 15th.
We are looking for an educator who:
- Demonstrates a great love and patience for children and is able to earn their trust and attention
- Is passionate about empowering children to grow both emotionally and academically
- Loves learning and is able to share that love with children
- Understands differentiating instruction
- Knows best practices and ECE methods to connect and develop a relationship with students
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a developmentally appropriate and creative program that's engaging for children ages 18 months to 4 years old
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.)
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem and confidence
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Collaborate with other educators/team members
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher or ECE Specialist
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- BS/BA in education, ECE, or relevant field
- 2+ years of teaching experience
