The Kensington School is an early childhood school that provides all day care and education for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years, as well as after school and summer programs for children up to 5th grade.
Teacher Qualifications:
- Ability to relate positively with young children.
- Prepare and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom
- Light lesson planning with support and supervision from the Director
- Provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 6 months-5 years.
- Must meet basic requirements of child care regulatory agency to maintain safe environment for children
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a public or private school system, a quality preschool, child care center or church nursery is preferred.
- Knowledge about the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children based on education, past work experience, or as a parent or caretaker of a child.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs in order to facilitate activities with children and ensure child safety in emergency situations.
The Pre-K, Infant, and Toddler Teacher positions might be an excellent fit for individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.
