Job Summary:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for the supervision and instruction of up to twelve students. They focus on early educational development, and work closely with parents to enable each student's success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates daily 'Circle Time' activities. Circle Times should focus on opening the school day, bible study, and skill development.
• Develops and implements curriculum and lesson plans to foster knowledge and skills essential to student learning;
• Maintains a secure and engaging classroom environment;
• Implements engaging teaching and learning methods, and incorporates curriculum standards;
• Ensures all students' basic needs are met in the classroom environment;
• Sets examples for classroom behavior, and provides positive reinforcement or corrects behavior as necessary;
• Models Christian Values;
• Reports any injuries and administers first aid as needed;
• Monitors and documents any changes in a child's general appearance and or health;
- Report all suspicions of child abuse or neglect as required by law;
• Regularly communicates with parents regarding individual student's progress;
• lans and executes activities in accordance with preschool curriculum;
• Presents upcoming weekly lesson plans to the Preschool Director every Wednesday;
• Builds curriculum based on Christian scripture, language development, rhythm, movement music, literature, math, science, and social studies; and
• Ensure lesson plans align with the Yearly Lesson Plan and Skills Concept Checklist.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- • High School diploma or equivalent required;
- • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred;
- • Minimum of twelve (12) Early Childhood Education units required (must align with Social Services required courses); and
- • At least six (6) months of supervised teaching, compliant with the Department of Social Services (DSS).

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
