Job Description

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking someone who is part teacher, part guardian, part administrative phenom and part programmatic innovator. That's a whole lot of parts! But our new Senior Program Director for the Boulder YMCA Preschool must be a lot of things to a lot of people. They must be a mentor and educator to the hundreds of children they will oversee, they must be a communicator and trustee for the parents of those children, and they must be a responsible administrator, budgeting ace and management expert for the good of their employees, co-workers and supervisors.

If you can't tell, we have high hopes, high standards, and high regard for this position.

That's because our Senior Program Director assumes responsibility for the management and operations of our fast-growing, ever-expanding preschool programs. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of preschool programming, curriculum, and education at multiple locations, providing leadership for staff, developing program operating procedures and standards while ensuring financial sustainability.

So tell us: Are you the right person for this job? You might be the right candidate if...

You are hands-on, engaged, young at heart, and mature of mind. You are not afraid to get down and dirty in our playground one moment and then get down and dirty in risk management procedures the next. You are creative and innovative, ready to ensure our programs are ground-breaking, parent-pleasing, and mind-blowingly fun for kids. You think at a high level and have high expectations of your staff, fostering an environment of innovation, positivity, and teamwork. You are comfortable with nay, you love budgeting, implementing policies, tackling administrative and marketing duties, training, and doing work that some may consider dull...but you certainly would not!

You are a youth development expert. You see the possibility of each child, and you work tirelessly to become their champion, mentor and fun-provider. You know that at the end of the day, all kids should have the opportunity to live to their full potential and you can't wait to help them do so.

Our new Loveland Preschool location will open in August of 2023 service preschool/pre-kindergarten and will grow into a full infant through pre-k facility within the coming months!
