Job Title: ECE Paraprofessional

Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time 12 month

Starting Salary: $16+ based on experience and education
Job Summary
The Paraprofessional is responsible for providing hands-on support to the ECE Program
Leads when implementing high-quality standards-based instruction for students. The
Paraprofessionals will help setup lesson materials before class, trackstudent progress and behavior, and helping with behavior management and curriculum delivery during lessons. Along with the multi-disciplinary team, the Paraprofessional provides a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children can develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Assist in delivering educational and social development programs for students under the direction and guidance of the facilitator and classroom teachers.
- Assist in meeting IEP’s and IFSPs for students and monitor their progress.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in activities fully
- Work with other professionals, such as teachersof the visually impaired, orientation and mobility sspecialists speech therapist, social wworkers occupational and physical therapists.
- Assist classroom teachers with maintaining student records.
- Assist classroom teachers with maintaining QRIS, Childcare Licensing, and NVReady standards.
- Serve as a guide in instructing students on proper classroom behavior.
- Support Classroom leads with daily set-up and break-down of classroom prep.
- Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one and in small groups with students.
- Supervise students on field trips.
- Assist students who need additional help learning a specific concept.
- Support students with emotional or behavioral concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills.
- Assist in the preparation and display of student work.
- Assist in preparing the classroom and activities for each learning theme.
- Assist teachers with copying items to support teaching.

Qualifications
A. Education and Experience
- Must have a high school diploma and be at least 18 years of age.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Outlook
- Background in Teaching Strategies Gold curriculum a plus.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- First Aid and CPR certification and/or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire
- Must complete background check and all childcare licensing requirements.
- CDA a Plus, or must be obtained after hired
C. Language
- Proficient English, oral and written - Spanish a plus
D. Reasoning Ability
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines
E. Physical Demands
- Sufficient coordination to successfully operate a computer
- Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required
(positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Ability to give and receive information by telephone and in person
- Ability to sit upright for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must have personal transportation and ability to drive, possess a valid driver’s license, maintain personal auto insurance ,and meet CLC’s insurance company’s requirements for coverage
- Other demands, as determined by CLC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
