Job Summary
The position is responsible for processing PDF files into XMF for approval as well as meeting all mailing deadlines on a weekly basis. Will need to communicate with GMS, Waco, AIL and outside vendor as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Will process PDF files into XMF for approval and image plates
- Work with InDesign files for envelopes and image plates
- Review components for mailings including artwork and laser proofs
- Process/create mock-ups and fold proofs for mailings, coordinate preparation workflow of components
- Ensure accuracy of job sheet, design files during various stages of development
- Maintain strict timelines and file delivery for multiple production jobs per week
- Draft mockups of envelopes, for press operator
- Process and output DUPONT CYREL fabric or FUJIFILM DIGITAL THERMAL plates for the company’s envelope and web-press operators
- Check and verify plates once output and completed
- Send image files to outside vendors via email or ftp server transfer
- Process image files using the workflow design application XMF CLIENT developed by FujiFilm creating template plates for coordinator’s approval
- Print and fold laser proofs
- Other tasks as assigned
Required Skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of using Apple MAC and windows PC
- Must be able to type 25 words minute
- Must be flexible in job assignments and able to multi-task easily
- Highly organized, able to communicate well with others
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus and follow tasks from beginning to end
- Knowledge of using graphic software Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat

Required Experience
Education & Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years in print design work
- Preferred experience in print production including prepress experience
- Preferred experience in direct mail environment
