We are looking for a self-motivated, organized individual who can assist our team during the critical early stages of winning construction projects. We work in a fast-paced industry with a lot of information flowing back and forth between different companies. We are looking for someone to help us gather and process that information so we can effectively win more bids. This is a great introductory job to learn how the construction industry works; you will also learn everything there is to know about green roofs.
This is a full-time, in-office position in Glenview, IL.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 (entry level)

Job Responsibilities
- Organize and manage incoming bid opportunities
- Communicate with project managers and Project Engineers from other companies
- Manage and maintain bid schedule, establishing and meeting internal deadlines
- Assist lead estimators and project managers with various tasks (take-offs, vendor quotes, etc.)
- Data entry
- Create bid proposal summary narratives based off the project
- Complete customer bid forms and relevant paperwork
Previous Experience
- 1-2 years in a related field (preferred, not required)
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Familiar with estimating and design software
- Proficient in Google Docs/Sheets
- Articulate communicator on phone and email
- High attention to detail with an eye for quality control
- Able to seamlessly and politely coordinate with material vendors, general contractors, and our internal estimating team
- Understanding of the commercial construction bidding process (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Degree/Certification in Construction Management, Horticulture, or Environmental studies (preferred)
