SUMMARY:
Provide organizational leadership for hydro turbine controls design, projects, and business development activities. Ensure products and services offered to the market meet customer specifications and the industry standards, while ensuring the highest reliability possible. Represent the organization in the hydro industry to increase the acceptance of the company’s product and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for providing Engineering, project management, and expertise for Hydro Projects.
- Provide support of the organization in bringing new application opportunities and potential product enhancements and development to the organization and supporting their implementation strategies.
- Ensure proposals are structured to properly support the market needs.
- Provide Engineering design and project oversight for hydro controls and hydro mechanical controls projects to ensure project success to requirements and specifications.
- Provide site design, oversite, and consulting services to support customer needs associated with hydro installations.
- Support training for customers, engineers, and industry associations to advance the market acceptance of the company’s product and services offering.
- Support the overall services organization to advance the overall profitability and expertise in the market.
- Provide budgeting support and performance management of any direct reports.
- This position requires 35%+ travel throughout the US. x Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S.E.E. degree
- Professional Engineer certification preferred
- 15+ years of experience in engineering solutions for the hydro turbine controls applications
- 10 years of experience in leading hydro controls and mechanical retrofit projects
- Travel to customer sites to oversee and completer installations of equipment, perform system startup or required maintenance, provide instructions for customer maintenance, or repair equipment
- Proficient computer skills
- Physical ability to travel, perform site work in hydro power plant and control room environments
