We’re Truemont Materials, a division of Aster Brands and we’re in the business of solving construction challenges with our brands: Redi-Rock retaining walls, Rosetta Hardscapes, Pole Base precast site lighting foundations, and our newest brand, Coast Armor for marine applications. We've expanded our core business to engage our team members to take what nature gives us and mold it into landscaping products that are usable, lasting, and have the look of natural stone. From big block, smaller block, coastal wall protection, to site lighting foundations our landscaping products are wet cast in molds made from real weathered stone. We are an experienced, results-oriented, collaborative group and we're looking for an Outside Specification Sales Representative, to expand our penetration of the market.

We are seeking a sales team to lead and grow our market with products produced from our precast plant, Truemont Materials, located in Green Cove Springs, FL. In this position, you'll be leading the way in building relationships with designers and installers of site development projects, and actively selling Redi-Rock, Coast Armor, Pole Base, and future accessory products with a focus in western and mid Florida. You’ll find potential clients, build relationships, identify their needs, and create solutions that will work best for their market. And we have a seasoned, dedicated and knowledgeable sales staff you can lean into to get you started. This position will need to travel 50-60% of the time or a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week in regional markets surrounding our production facility.

Goal and Responsibilities Include: And may change or evolve over time -

  • Becoming a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
  • Coordinate and perform Lunch & Learns and other presentations to spread awareness about the product
  • Developing, presenting and implementing plans for acquiring new customers and traction including activity breakdowns, performance milestones, resource requirements, and expense budget
  • Identifying potential designers and installers that would use our products in the target markets and effectively present the value of our products and services for their projects
  • Establish and build new relationships to expand the sales pipeline for our relevant products
  • Develop and negotiate proposals, develop contracts, assist in production and sales training, sketchup walls to give block counts on proposals.
  • Assist in all market research with potential installers or designers.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed to grow the sales pipeline and service prospects.
  • Be able to meet with installers on-site and demonstrate installation procedures first hand.

A successful Outside Specification Sales Representative will have first and foremost a broad knowledge of the many facets of a precast business and the hardscape markets. The ideal candidate will also possess great problem-solving skills to provide solutions and recommendations that will increase profitability and efficiency. Additionally, success in this role will include:

  • Having a strong desire to hunt for new business - Enjoy the thrill of the hunt that comes with prospecting, negotiating, and closing new accounts. Don’t be afraid of cold calls.
  • Creativity - Our defined sales process isn’t a rigid set of rules, but rather a collection of guidelines that we’ve found work well for our business. You will use your creativity to cultivate relationships, follow hunches, explore opportunities, and serve clients that we didn’t anticipate.
  • A competitive streak – with others and with yourself. Not being afraid to admit that you want to be the best and beat what you did yesterday.
  • Contribute to the clients’ long-lasting success so that our reputation and market share can expand along with our clientele.
  • Not being shy with frequent windshield time, driving and working outdoors giving considerable physical effort to work alongside installation crews on site to demonstrate proper installation practices of our precast concrete products when questions arise.
