C.C. Creations, the largest printing and embroidery company in the state of Texas, is hiring for the position of PRE-PRESS ARTIST to join an ambitious and growing team. As a pre-press artist, you are responsible for taking approved art, and with your accrued knowledge of screen production, the print process, and characteristics of inks, separating and cataloging that art to function on the production floor. This knowledge is essential to assisting existing designers with successful art production, as well as the entry point to becoming a full-time production artist.


What will you do in the position of Pre-Press Artist?

  • Quality control checkpoint for production
  • Art separation for screens
  • Determine print order.
  • Troubleshoot art problems on the press.
  • Track individual orders completed to visualize value and maintain capacity.
  • Maintain and organize completed art as it pertains to production 5%

Additional Job Functions:

  • Log art errors as tangible benchmarks for improvement
  • Train new artists in pre-press processes
  • Maintain an index of information of how inks, garments, and screen meshes interact
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and their guides.


Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Mac operating system.
  • Must maintain professional relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Graphic design and screen-printing experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
  • Motivation to be a team player with a service-oriented mindset.
