The Job: Assesses patients, plans care, serves as patient advocate and assures optimal outcomes.
Work Schedule: Full-Time Days
Full time, 4 10hour shifts .
Monday Friday
There is PACU call with 2shifts from 2100-0700 and 2-24 hour shifts on either Saturday or Sunday
Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse will provide perioperative patient care.
- Reviewing the patient chart by becoming familiar with orders including but not limited to lab orders and results, radiology orders and results, H & Ps and updates, consents
- Explaining procedures/treatment/discharge to patient and family members to alley apprehension and to verify understanding of procedure/discharge.
- Documenting patient assessment in the electronic patient record, and nursing care plan.
- Administering prescribed medications.
- Preparing Pre-OP/PACU I and II for needed supplies and equipment
- Maintaining awareness of patients safety needs at all times
- Assisting with patients transfer of care from the OR
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of Pre-Op/PACU experience
