Job Summary:
Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Inc. is currently hiring for the Pre-K Secondary Teacher position at Dublin Head Start.
The Pre-K Secondary Teacher works cooperatively with the Pre-K Primary Teacher to assist in the daily implementation of Early Childhood Development learning experiences and activities. The Pre-K Secondary Teacher provides and assists in maintaining and developing a safe and healthy learning environment for all children, including children with disabilities.
This position is under the direct supervision of the Center Manager.
A CDA or TCC in Early Childhood Education is required. Previous teaching experience with 3-4 year olds is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of the curriculum and assessment to assist in implementing daily lesson plans and IEP’s for children with disabilities.
- Assists in observing, assessing and recording the behavior of all children assigned to the classroom.
- Assists in setting up and organizing the classroom, labeling interest area and shelves with pictures and words.
- Assists in maintaining complete and concise records for each child.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Assists in the inventory of classroom materials and supplies, and store as directed.
- Assists with visits to the homes of parents or guardians of children assigned to classroom as well as staff-parent conferences.
- Encourages parent participation in the classroom as well as special activities, etc.
- Assists with meal duties and bus duties as assigned and required.
- Assists with classroom clean-up, including bathroom.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Minimum Requirements of the Position:
- CDA, TCC or TCO in Early Childhood Education is required
- Must possess a valid first aid and CPR certification
- Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)
- Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.

Pay: $14.25 per hour
