The Practice Coordinator is responsible for performing administrative duties for individual physician practice, directing patient flow for the clinic, providing administrative oversight to clinical providers and ensuring patients have an optimal customer service experience while receiving world-class orthopaedic medical care.
Location: Based in Vail, CO (with regular travel to Frisco; approximately 40% travel)
Classification: full-time, exempt position; eligible for benefits.
Compensation: starting at $55,000/yr. DOE
Start date: Fall 2023
Key Responsibilities
- Provides executive support to assigned physician practice: performs complex administrative duties including responding for physician when he/she is unavailable, composing correspondence, manages physician's schedule, and coordinating resources across the practice.
- Develops strategies for continued growth and development of physician practice.
- Rooms patients, posts surgery cases, and interacts with patients via phone for scheduling of surgeries.
- Oversees patient relations providing individuals with outstanding customer service and support; receives, investigates and resolves patient complaints and issues within the physician practice.
- Utilizes the EMR system, documents practice metrics such as scheduling surgeries and other clinical support functions to ensure electronic files are complete for billing purposes.
- Responsible for coordinating meetings for assigned physician which includes, but isn't limited to, reserving meeting rooms, ordering meals, developing agendas, taking/publishing minutes, and following through on action items.
- Assists physician with accounting functions including coordinating billing information, accounts receivable and processing expense requests.
- Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form which may jeopardize the privacy of patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associates or Bachelors degree, preferred.
- At least one year of relevant health care experience required.
- EMR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously; ability to work with frequent interruptions.
