Kurt Geiger is excited to appoint a PR & Communications Lead - Americas, supporting the Vice President, Global Public Relations with the development and execution of generating maximum brand exposure across new and existing markets in the Americas. This will be achieved through a 360 approach to integrated PR strategy across all consumer and media touchpoints.

The candidate must have a genuine passion for developing brands for their market, using initiative to achieve exceptional results. Impeccable liaison skills are required, with a pre-established network of key contacts essential (including influencers, stylists, editors and industry leaders)

Requirements

This role will promote focus mostly on the Kurt Geiger London brand, but will also incorporate careful stewardship of the Kurt Geiger Kindness Foundation mission including all campaigns, talent activations, special projects and media events but also incorporating our customers and new/potential audiences.

• Increasing awareness for Kurt Geiger brands and our Foundation, developing and maintaining relationships with key journalists and media, always acting as an ambassador for Kurt Geiger.
• Assisting and working closely with the PR team and VP, Public Relations:

- Being conduit for fresh ideas for PR campaigns and develop strong story angles

- Introduce traditional and non-traditional media approaches

- Understand and identify appropriate strategic partnership opportunities

- Manage celebrity/VIP dressing and placements including seeding and gifting approach

• Develop and implement annual and seasonal forward planning documents and strategies for collections and product launches, product focuses, and events
• Draft, edit, disseminate and oversee press releases and other relevant PR tools and assests
• Build exceptional media relationships within the industry while also creating new contacts in fashion, business and philanthropic media for our brands
• Act as an ambassador amongst all key target media at appropriate levels
• Pitch, secure and manage all Kurt Geiger stories for both product and brand including key media, profile feathers and design features in all key media, profile features on our CEO and CCO and our Foundation.
• Suggest ideas/initiatives/ strategies to drive brand awareness in key markets and elevate our brand.
• Keep an overview of collections and sample loan activities
• Oversee, manage, and develop all tasks and responsibilities of PR team and liaise with international wholesale and franchise PR teams
• Management of all logistics around events
• Work closely with wider marketing team and in-market global network including Kurt Geiger PR teams to deliver fully integrated, global marketing and PR campaigns
• Drive success and excellence through our partners – agency, measurement, insights and more
• Possess strong understanding of all internal communications strategies, tools and systems to ensure alignment with overall brand messaging. Able to drive both internal and external communications when needed
• Excellent reporting ability on an on-going-basis and to inform strategy

KEY ATTRIBUTES

• Proven experience in a Senior PR role within a fashion environment (preferably with some focus on accessories) as well as corporate and purpose PR
• Strong managerial and organizational skills
• Digital-first mindset with a strong ability to devise fully integrated communication strategies
• Creative and strategic thinker
• Able to identify communication opportunities through a pro-active approach
• Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent prioritizing and time management
• Articulate, with excellent communication skills
• Extremely well-organized, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
• Strong presentation & superb writing skills
