Salary for apprentice $31.67
Journeyman rate $42.23
Industrial HVAC (100 ton +) Troubleshoot and repair
Industrial boilers (100 hp +) Trouble shoot and repair
Spraybooths Keep spraybooths in specifications by
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical
school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

- Clayton Steam Generators
- Oil heaters
Spraybooths Keep spraybooths in specifications by
- Maintaining ASH units
- Maintain supply fans
- Monitor air flow
- Balance spray booths according to specifications.
- Air compressor cooling tower
- Air dryers
- Perform major and minor repairs on heat exchangers, air end, condensate lines, and various other components.
- Understand and troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Understand and work from electrical drawings.
- Troubleshoot power equipment.
- Understand electronic controls and circuits.
- Understand & troubleshoot Heating Systems (Hot Oil, Steam, Gas fired, etc.)
- Understand & troubleshoot Cooling Systems
- Understand & troubleshoot Spray booth Systems.
- Minor belt repairs (direct replacement)
- Install and repair motors and wire.
- Pipe fitting
- Installation and maintenance of high- and low-pressure systems
- Repair and maintenance of pumps, plumbing devices, traps, mechanical seals, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
- Knowledge and use of lubrication of machines and equipment
- Understand and follow lubrication schedules.
- Knowledge and use of blueprints for machines and equipment
- Knowledge and use of rigging
- Laser alignment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Be proactively involved with all aspects of safety.
- Perform routine tasks without requiring direction from supervision.
- Train others in skilled trades
- Perform Housekeeping tasks (5S) in the work area (Shop & your Jobs)
- Assist other trades and contractors.
- Review work orders and help improve to cover job scope.
- Participate in Preventative Maintenance and help to develop predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Prepare list of parts, materials, safety equipment, tools, cranes, rigging, etc., that are needed for each job.
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical
school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship program or equivalent (8000 hours)
