We are looking for a Student Intern to support Power System simulations and data analysis for research projects related to Resource Adequacy and production cost modeling. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in Power System modeling and Resource Adequacy work that EPRI has been leading over the past few years. It also provides the opportunity to get exposure to issues faced in real world Power Systems.

Job Functions:
- Performing simulations and analyzing results from Resource Adequacy simulations and other long-term planning tools
- Literature review, data analysis and support in report writing
The Ideal Candidate:
- Electrical engineering, operations research, economics, or similar Masters or PhD student with an understanding of electric Power Systems operations and economics, and/or and strong analytical skills
- Understanding of power economic dispatch modeling, Resource Adequacy principles, and capacity markets
- Experience in market simulation models and tools, such as Plexos
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Julia, C++, and Java
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large data sets
- Strong writing and communication skills
