Seeking eager, motivated Field Service personnel for preventive maintenance and repair for installed and portable emergency power generators, transfer switches, and associated support equipment. Experienced candidates will perform power system services and repairs. Senior positions will include parallel gear and co-generation equipment maintenance, operation, and repair. Knowledge of UPS, Battery Backup Systems, and Power Factor Correction equipment a plus.

Specific tasks:
· Recurring Preventive Maintenance of diesel or natural gas engines, testing the generators sets for proper operation, perform engine specific repairs on fuel, starting, exhaust, cooling, and lubricating systems.
· Installation, testing, and adjusting automatic transfer switches, switchgear, and associated support equipment.
· Use and setup of rental equipment to include connecting power cables and operating test equipment.
· Use of load banks, diagnostic, and field emissions test equipment.
· Startup and commissioning of newly installed power-generating equipment.
Knowledge base
Must have thorough knowledge of diesel and natural gas engine systems. Understand Power Generation theory and operating characteristics of power generating equipment. Knowledgeable of basic power distribution systems (i.e., transfer switch operation, main breakers, power sub-panels, etc).
Understand proper safety practices around rotating and electrical equipment.
Employee should be able to lift up to 75 lbs for battery replacements.
Employee should have access to the required tools to perform preventive maintenance duties. Special tools will be provided.
Employee must have a valid driver’s license and able to operate assigned vehicle safely in the greater Philadelphia area.
Employee is required to be responsive to customer needs and exhibit an excellent work ethic to complete assigned work in a safe and timely manner.
Employee must be able to exhibit good troubleshooting skills.
Employee must pass employment drug testing.
