Agiliko is looking for a Power BI Specialist to join its team of professionals to provide expertise and technical support to our favorite, long-term Federal government client in Old Town Alexandria, VA (near King Street Metro Station).

For this client, we will be implementing data marts and an enterprise self-service BI capability. For this role you should be a self-driven, analytical individual who has experience setting up and administering a self-serve PowerBI environment, developing reports and assisting with training of the end users.

Below is a sampling of the Power BI Specialist duties, responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Work with client to address full cycle needs from analytics and dashboard framework, requirement definition through to end user reporting using Power BI
• Perform requirement analysis, design and prototype Power BI solutions
• Set up and Administer Power BI for enterprise self-service
• Conduct QA
• Assist with training end users
• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI
• Deliver automated reporting with robust user functionality (drill down, filtering, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned by client demands

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field preferred
• 5 + years of experience using Power BI
• Experience rolling out enterprise, self-serve Power BI capability
• Experience in the field of Data warehousing for an enterprise environment
• Experience working with dataset ingestion, data model creation, reports, dashboards, KPIs, Power BI Pro features, workspaces, security, etc.
• Proven experience developing self-service models, data analytics using Power BI
• Extensive expertise with in optimizing Power BI Dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability and standardization
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) is preferred
• Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude and good research and testing skills
• Able to learn new technologies quickly
• Able to contribute creative ideas and solutions
• Self-motivated and thrives in a team environment
• Able to move multiple projects forward simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Good at building and maintaining relationships with clients and co-workers

Preferred:

• MCSA Power Platform Developer Associate, or
• MCSA: BI Reporting

Location: Old Town Alexandria (King Street Metro area). This position is currently remote and may eventually require 1-2 days per week in the office and the balance can be remote.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and pass a Credit Check
