CRITICAL KEY REQUIREMENTS
" Support LIRR Operational Analytics implementations from the initial business analysis, system requirements and system design functions.
" Study, analyze and understand business requirements in context to business intelligence.
" Design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights.
" Design and create interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
" Connect and integrate data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services, into Power BI datasets.
" Clean, transform, and model data to ensure it is suitable for reporting and analysis.
" Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
" Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance and responsiveness.
" Facilitate and lead requirements gathering workshops with the ability to identify and analyze business needs.
" Identify areas of system optimization based on business processes.
" Implement security measures to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
" Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
" Create and maintain documentation for data models, report specifications, and best practices.
" Provide training and support to end-users to enable them to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
" Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models.
" Run DAX queries and functions in Power BI
" Identify the requirements and develop custom charts accordingly.
" Assist in implementation go-live and post-go-live activities.
" Support requests from users to research system problems or errors, and to assist in their resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
" Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
" Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist, with strong proficiency in Power BI.
" Solid experience in SQL and working with relational databases.
" Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dissect large amounts of data.
" Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information.
" Experience in the transportation especially in railroad industry is a plus.
" 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics tools developing Reporting and Dashboards
" 7+ years in Reporting and Analytics using Power BI - M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, RLS
" 5+ years in database technologies and strong SQL query writing skills, preferrable Oracle and SQL Server
" Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certified preferred.
" Experience of UX (user experience) design and tools
" Minimum of 1 year Python experience.
" Good communication skills to translate business requirements into Dashboards and Reporting
" Proficient in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project
" Experience in desktop / mobile computer support and troubleshooting software related problems.
" Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skill in relating technical information to non-technical personnel.
" Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
" Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
" Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter.
