The Powder Coating Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the high quality and durabilityof our products through efficient and precise Powder Coating processes. Essential Functions:Set up and operate Powder Coating equipment, including guns, booths, and curing ovens.Select appropriate Powder Coatings based on job requirements, ensuring proper adhesionand finish.Follow all Traveler procedures needed for each product.Adjust and monitor equipment settings to achieve desired coating thickness and appearance.Conduct quality checks on coated products to ensure adherence to specifications.Clean and prepare surfaces for coating, including degreasing, sanding, and masking.Inspect materials for defects, such as rust or dents, and address any issues before thecoating process.
Perform regular maintenance on Powder Coating equipment to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any mechanical or electrical problems. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to Powder Coating processes andmaterials. Document any deviations from standard procedures and implement corrective actions.Coordinate with other team members to prioritize and schedule Powder Coating jobs.Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and quality control personnel.
Conduct visual inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.Address any issues with coatings, such as uneven application or color variations.Ability to read tape measures and protractors. (digital & non-digital)Maintain understanding of Powder lift controls.Have basic understanding of Powder Coating / Sandblast troubleshooting procedures. Starting Pay $17.50- $18.503 rd - EVENING - Sunday to Friday - 9:30pm to 6am with occasional overtime as needed.
