The Division of Agricultural Sciences andNatural Resources is seeking applicants for a full-time, 11-month,Post-doctoral Fellow position.

Position Description
Idealcandidates should be highly motivated to collect and analyze primary andsecondary data to provide leadership in compiling and assimilating appliedresearch data into research and extension publications. The intended durationof this position is 2 years from 8/2024 to 7/2026 with the potential forextension pending the availability of new grant funding. The objective of thisposition is to 1) lead and coordinate applied research activities associatedwith a state-wide needs assessment and 2) conduct original research on topicsrelated to the economics of food consumption and health.  The successful candidate will be expected topublish scientific manuscripts to document research findings and outcomes. Thepost-doctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Dr. Jayson Lusk withopportunities to collaborate with graduate students and faculty on otherrelevant projects.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economicsor Economics. The successful candidate must have evidence of excellent oral andwritten communication skills.
Salary
The salaryfor this post-doctoral fellow position is $70,000/year plus benefits.  This position is contingent upon availablefunding. Funding is also available for travel to meet with collaborators andpresent at scientific conferences.
Employment Conditions
Eleven(11) month appointment periods are July 1 - May 31 with June being the "off"(unpaid) month. Post-doc appointments are made for a term of one year or less.Reappointments for a total period of not more than three years may be made.
About the Department
OSU Agriculture includes the Ferguson Collegeof Agriculture, the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station (OSU Ag Research),and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service (OSU Cooperative Extension), 9academic departments, 16 field research stations, 2 institutes, 3 centers, andemployees in all 77 Oklahoma counties. The College enrollment includes 2,887undergraduate and 397 graduate students. In 2021-2022, the College granted 660undergraduate and 146 graduate degrees. OSU Agriculture has a total budget ofapproximately $108.9 million and more than 850 FTEs, including 177 tenure-trackfaculty, 68 non-tenure track faculty and 186 Cooperative Extensionprofessionals.
