Responsibilities:

The goal of this post-doctoral role will be focused on development of Oligonucleotide (ON) therapeutics for central nervous system (CNS) disorders by leveraging target disease pathophysiology, medicine design, and drug delivery technologies to inform drug product and process design. Specifically, the primary intent is to develop new strategies for enhancing ON access to the CNS. To this end, the postdoctoral fellow will –

• Elucidate impact of molecule design and/or delivery system design on crossing the blood brain barrier and biodistribution to CNS tissues
• Evaluate impact of route of administration on access to CNS tissue
• Identify drug product (DP) quality attributes of ON DP formulations for CNS delivery.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Applied Physics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with experience in the development and characterization of new materials for drug delivery.
• Understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific data.
• Experience in handling multiple projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Applied Physics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with experience in novel drug delivery systems and drug product development.
• Working knowledge of drug delivery to the CNS and underlying molecular mechanisms.
• Comfortable conversing with opinion leaders regarding highly technical information.

• Ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment.

• Good Communication skills and Team Player.
