The Portfolio Manager position provides support to the business bankers by servicing, maintaining and updating loan documentation and loan files. The position requires substantial interaction with new and current bank customers, both internal and external. This position also requires excellent customer service skills along with proactive communication abilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good interpersonal communication and computer skills
- Preferred 1 + years in banking in an administrative/lending environment with high level of customer service involvement
- Completes loan cycle form beginning to end including gathering necessary documentation, reviewing and approving loan docs, and maintaining loan relationship.
- Schedule loan closings with customer and title companies.
- Interact with clients
- Work closely with customers to provide information on available loan products or to answer questions customers may have regarding opening a new loan or researching an existing loan
- Communicates with customers on collecting personal and business tax returns, personal final statements, and business financials.
- Work on keeping Financial Tracking Report updated.
- Prepare potential borrowers after they come in to meet with assigned Loan Officer
- Assist the Loan Officer with marketing responsibilities including managing their database of referral partners, initiating and executing marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that regulatory, compliance procedures, and bank policy/standards are met and adhered to for all loan transaction.
- Control volume of exceptions and work with LAD to identify and clear all noted documentary, legal, safekeeping regulatory and policy exceptions.
- Ensure loan payments and loan advances are processed accurately and timely.
- Open Business Checking Accounts
- Coordinates with lender to review maturity list to ensure loan renewals are handled in a timely manner.
- Work Lenders Overdrafts and Past Due reports
- Willing to cross train and act as a back as needed.
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
