JOB TITLE:
Office Aide
JOB PURPOSE:
Support all clerical and student communication functions within the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) during the school year and possibly during the summer months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as customer service liaison by assisting UW Community (students, families, faculty, and staff) in-person at the front desk.
- Answers routine inquiries via phone from the UW Community (students, families, faculty, and staff). Directs complex issues to appropriate counselors, Supervisor, or Assoc Director/Director.
- Maintains workload statistics and other operational reports by tracking all phone calls.
- Maintains security of all documents including collecting, date stamping and filing all received documents.
- Assists students with the completion of all necessary documentation/processes.
- Analyzes documentation being turned in by students to ensure it is accurate and complete.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists other areas in the office during high demand times or for special projects.
- Other related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
Must be familiar with Microsoft programs, including Excel. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: 1 year progressively responsible work-related experience
Must pass required background check

- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Work independently, organize own work, successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines.
