Hour Per Week: 40 Rate of Pay: $36,566.00 - $39,582.00 Status: OPEN UNTIL FILLED Apply Now Job Description Under general direction of the Parks & Recreation Executive Director is responsible, either directly or indirectly, in the activities, functions, operation and administration of all swimming pools. Enforce pool rules and regulations for the safety and convenience of the public.

Pool Supervisor will oversee and monitor the daily activities of the aquatic staff. Will ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available and in working conditions. Performs chemical tests to determine and monitor the quality of water, performs routine preventative maintenance of filtration system and reports all major malfunctions to applicable and appropriate source for repair.

Directs and participates in pool maintenance, cleaning of pools areas and locker rooms. Will maintain a current inventory of supplies, equipment, and keep general logs. Will insure sanitary control of the facility and water chemistry are to standard, log results and make proper modifications to chemical levels as needed.

Maintains related records and statistics for various aquatics programs. Is responsible for daily revenues. Is responsible for turning in the time sheets and any other logs to pool manager.

Will ensure all staff provided efficient, safe, and respectful services in accordance with policies and procedures. Will be required to secure the pool facilities. Will also perform the duties of a Head Lifeguard which will consist of, but not be limited to, overseeing and monitoring daily activities of the City Aquatic staff and programs, and teaching swimming lessons for all age groups.

Prepares Red Cross swimming lesson records and certificates. Monitors the use of the swimming pools and enforces safety rules. Monitors locker rooms, weight and steam rooms.

Will perform miscellaneous duties, such as, but not limited to, answering telephone, running errands, picking up supplies, selling tickets, collecting fees, assisting in the setting up for classes, events, etc. Assists and/or monitors in other recreational activities as needed. Will perform other duties as needed.

Additional Information STARTING HOURLY PAY: $17.58 p/h MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school education or equivalent (GED) Six (6) months experience or more in pool lead person Two (2) years' experience in Pool or Recreation Two (2) years' experience Lifeguarding or WSI Lifeguarding Valid driver's license (state or residence) that meets City's insurability requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current ARC Lifeguard Training Certification Current ARC Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification Current ARC First Aid, CPR/AED Certification Other Conditions: Must pass a background check Conditions of Employment: Must obtain CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certificate within one (1) year of hire Application Special Instructions Application Special Instructions Please respond accurately to all questions regarding your qualifications for this position.
