Responsibilities
Our St. Francis hospital is seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist for our Sleep Center. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills where you will be responsible for:
- Assists/performs sleep studies according to established policies and procedures under the supervision of the department director and clinical supervisor.
- Performs all necessary exams and maintains documentation to ensure timely accurate results of procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
- Cleans, sterilizes, and disposes of equipment to maintain a safe patient environment.
- Demonstrates ability to work in different age-specific patient populations while promoting the organizational patient safety program
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (R.PGS T.) Must obtain CPR/BLS prior to providing patient care.
- Must have a working knowledge of mathematics and science courses (anatomy and physiology).Must be able to carry out assigned duties effectively
