The Corewell Health West's department of Neurological Health is looking to add a fellowship trained epileptologist to their high-performing, collaborative team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will thrive in this practice if you have excellent clinical skills, a genuine team mindset, and a desire to teach. MEG experience is a plus.
This position is ideal for an experienced epileptologist with an interest in contributing to an innovative and aggressive surgical program.
About the Corewell Health West Epilepsy program:
- Level 4 NAEC Epilepsy Center & Michigan's most active epilepsy surgery program
- 8 epileptologists, 11 neuropsychologists, 4 APPs and psychotherapists dedicated to epilepsy
- 15 bed EMU (9 adult & 6 pediatric beds)
- Large EEG tech team with EEG pre-read technologists
- Comprehensive diagnostic capabilities, including functional MRI, PET, SPECT and MEG
- Full range of surgical procedures
- Epilepsy Fellowship Program
Select duties of the position:
- Evaluations of presurgical and diagnostics of EMU patients
- Directing of presurgical evaluation
- Participation in epilepsy surgery conference
- Post-surgical follow up, including programming of RNS, DBS, and VNS
- New evaluations and follow up of patients in clinic
- Rotation on all EEG services
- Active participation in teaching of residents, fellows and medical students
