Job Highlights
  • Helps to achieve maximum productivity within the department and plant by following procedures/training and taking the initiative to keep equipment running smoothly, troubleshooting disruptions, and work safely. Works with minimal supervision while ensuring work gets completed.
  • Complete batch sheets, conducts inspections, SAP activities, and maintains records.
  • Housekeeping initiatives to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
  • Implements safe work practices including permit procedures, use of personal protective equipment, lock out tag out, follow procedures, take tours of unit to ensure operations are per schedule and safely complete pretask hazard assessments.   Mitigate and report unsafe acts or conditions promptly.
  • Works on improvement projects as well as contributes improvement ideas.
  • Attends or participates in training such as monthly training, weekly toolbox talks, PPE, procedures, etc.
  • Familiar with and able to implements, incident response procedures.
  • Participates on safety or operational discussions such as core safety team, HAZOPs, JSAs.
Requirements
  • Education Requirement: Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years of experience is required, preferred in chemical/manufacturing plant.
  • Must have a high attention to detail, experience following procedures and phases of operations.
  • Experience using SAP, distributed control systems (DCS), and Microsoft Excel is highly desireable.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
