POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of all aspects of point-of-Care Testing performed by non-laboratory staff, and regulatory compliance in the Clinical laboratories. Maintains, monitors and supports the achievement of effective quality programs to guarantee a safe and efficacious quality laboratory testing utilizing good laboratory and manufacturing practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science. Requires at least 2 years in clinical laboratory experience .

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required

OR

Must obtain a certification in clinical laboratory sciences or laboratory categorical within the first six (6) months from date of hire.
