PMO Project Manager Job Description SummaryThe PMO Project Manager will provide support and guidance for projects within the Clinical Affairs Project Management Office. This role will have the primary focus on coordinating the portfolio, developing and supporting tools, processes, and best practices to facilitate execution of global cross-functional clinical studies. This role will also focus on providing quality, timely and actionable data for selected metrics, allowing tracking and trending of clinical operations. Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leads PMO initiatives and facilitates cross-functional project teams.

  • Develops reports and metrics that provide data for operational excellence and processes, identifying future improvement opportunities.

  • Tracks of Clinical Affairs budget:

    • Understands and tracks the GCA portfolio and its changes

    • Understands and tracks software and systems cost

    • Understands prioritization

    • Tracks performance against target

    • Prepares upcoming FY budget

  • Analyzes demand (resourcing):

    • Maintains/adjusts forecast as studies evolve (demand meetings...)

    • Analyzes forecast against actuals and understands/tracks why there are differences

    • Works with functional managers to ensure more accurate forecasts

  • Be a central point of communications between BUs and functional managers:

    • Works with BUs to understand and track their portfolio

    • Works with functional managers on capacity and portfolio management

    • Communicating with BU on demand changes and impact on costs

  • Organizes and leads meetings to review entire portfolio:

    • Works with BU to ensure attendance at demand meetings

    • Works with BU leads to set the agenda for meetings based on priorities

Evaluates existing processes and plans and implements process improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirement:

  • Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
