Job Title: Food & Beverage Server
Position Type: Full-Time/ Part-Time
Typical Shift: 2pm - 10pm
Reports to: Food and Beverage Services Manager
Job Overview:
Unicoi State Park & Lodge is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Food & Beverage Server to provide exceptional customer service to customers. As our Food & Beverage Server, you would be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and delivering them efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Attend to customers' dining needs; take orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and specials
- Provide a positive and upbeat attitude towards customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Ensure that all food and drinks are produced to high culinary standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food to customers
- Upsell food and beverage options to customers such as appetizers, specials and desserts
- Continuously monitor dining spaces, ensuring that tables are cleared and clean for incoming customers
- Ensure a clean and organized dining area before, during and after service
- Maintain knowledge of health & safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Process cash and card transactions in an accurate and efficient manner
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen manager and other team members to ensure that customer expectations are met
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess excellent communication skills, with a positive and outgoing demeanor
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Food & Beverage service
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
- Proficient in using POS systems and other technology relevant to Food & Beverage service
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs)
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding food and beverage service is a plus
