SalaryPlumbing and Fire Protection Engineer/Designer
In this hybrid position, a Massachusetts-based client is actively seeking (1-2) experienced Plumbing/Fire Protection Designer(s) to support the P/FP design team in producing construction documents. Responsibilities include performing plumbing system load calculations; layout and sizing of piping systems; performing hydraulic calculations and equipment selections, as well as coordinating with architectural and structural building components.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial, institutional, and public buildings such as healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, and large mixed-use residential buildings and hotels.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT (highly desired), MS Word, and Excel.
- Some project design coordination experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Expertise:
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts State Plumbing Code and the fuel gas code.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards, particularly NFPA - 13 and 14.
Bachelor's Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field is generally required. And/or relevant experience in commercial, institutional, and public buildings
