Job Description
Essential Duties:
This position provides the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of all aspects of plumbing systems and equipment.
Has moderate knowledge in plumbing/sprinkler systems
Has experience with plumbing work and tools
Can perform hot work, cutting, threading proficiently and safely
Works with one (1) other member (junior mechanic or helper) to complete daily tasks
Reports to Lead Mechanic to discuss any questions/issues
Follows safety procedure and guidelines
Does not finalize decisions
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate with employees.
Must have OSHA 40/62, F60 and/or G60, & Limited/Full Gas [a plus].
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actions.
Ability to work independently and carry-out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
