About The Role

The PLC Programmer will provide support in designing, installing, testing, and troubleshooting controller system software for our valued clients. They will have the opportunity to travel to client locations as well as work in the office to analyze system requirements, create and implement custom programmable logic code, evaluate system efficiency, and offer operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify PLC and HMI programs for biofuel and natural gas projects (control logic, HMI screens, etc) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Read and understand P&ID’s, loop diagrams, process flow diagrams, cause and effect matrices
• Resolve and repair system faults and anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance and connectivity problems including changes, adjustments, and modifications to control code and standard operating parameters adhering to standard PLC Programming and IC&E procedures and techniques
• PLC installation, troubleshooting, programming and maintenance
• Factory and on-site testing and validation of system performance along with troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Assist Service Delivery Manager in the development of programming standards and library functions.
• Work cross-functionally with process, mechanical and service delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years as a PLC Programmer, with electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred in gas plant process programming.
• Minimum 3+ years working in field locations with direct responsibilities over electrical and/or system control installation.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and/or Siemens; Rockwell FactoryTalk, and/or Wonderware
• Ability to program in multiple languages, including ladder logic, structured text and Function Block.
• Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, control narratives and P&ID Drawings.
• Ability to modify and complete documentation after FAT/SAT
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
