Under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor, executes all essential duties to ensure continuous operation of plastic injection molding machines with uncontaminated resin. This encompasses maintaining precise material inventory, upholding a tidy and productive workspace, and overseeing the operation of Hydration Ovens.
Shift Available + Pay :
2nd shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (1)
3rd shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM (1)
Pay: $20/hr plus $.50/hr after 90 days
Roles and responsibilities
• Tag, label, and properly locate material using SAP; accurately weigh and scan material in & out of inventory
using FIFO inventory method.
• Responsible for operating and Hydration Ovens.
• Use RayPro (our in-house software) to input and continuously update material batch/lot numbers in use.
• Understand basic structure and physical properties of hygroscopic and non-hygroscopic resins and utilize
this information in preparation of material for molding.
• Blend color masterbatch used with thermoplastics materials observing let-down ratios specified on
production order sheet.
• Perform moisture analysis using Vapor Pro and Sartorius Loss-on Drying moisture analyzers.
• Escalate inventory discrepancies, contamination, and other material-related issues to supervisor.
• Understand load time, purge time and fill time as part of operation of resin conveyance system and open
array fantail manifold.
• Assist in locating and correcting potential vacuum & material line leaks that prevent proper loading.
• Assist the person changing the mold as needed.
• Remove all previously run parts and material from the press.
• Clean the hoppers, granulators, and dryers per work instructions.
• Accurately complete required sections of job set-up documentation.
• Keep area and material section clean and free of clutter utilizing 5S methodology.
• Keep rack storage spaces maximally utilized and maintain obstruction-free aisleways.
• Safely operate standard and electric pallet trucks, powered industrial truck/hilo, trash compactor and
cardboard baler.
• Follow recycling and waste management protocols for resin, factory consumables and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent Attendance Record

• Proven Time Management Skills and ability to execute multiple assignments concurrently.
• Ability to lift 55 pounds.
• Standing, bending, lifting, climbing a ladder, and walking on a cement floor daily.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• Must be able to work in the U.S.
• Knowledge of 5S philosophy
• Experience in injection molding
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to travel for training (up to 3 consecutive weeks)
