Position Summary
The Plant Order Coordinator is an integral part of Greenhouse operations. The primary roles include plant production and maintenance and coordination of Plant Orders. Zoho, KPay, SharePoint and Microsoft Office will be utilized, including Outlook email. Primary duties will vary throughout the season. Tasks in March through April will focus on assisting with transplanting and plant maintenance. From the end of April through mid-June approximately 25% of the responsibility will be producing and maintaining plants and 75% of responsibility will be processing sales orders and coordinating transfer of products for sales orders. July through September will depend on volume of orders, but most likely split equally between plant sales orders and plant production and maintenance. Duties in September and October shift to approximately 25% sales orders, and 75% plant maintenance, seed harvesting, or assisting other departments.
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

- Seed harvest from plots and native areas
Miscellaneous Duties
- To assist other departments within the company as needed.
- Answer phone calls
- To help keep the plant building clean and organized
- To maintain safe working conditions.
Work Environment
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. The noise level may be loud at times. Working hours may be long and unpredictable.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move objects up to 40 lbs. and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs. This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
