NOTICE OF FILING UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR'S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Plant Opex Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Columbus, NE. Collect and analyze complex data and information. Create Continuous Improvement Plan for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Improvement through Blitzes using Problem Solving Methodologies, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and Six Sigma Tools. Collaborate with teams to develop and facilitate Continuous Improvement ("CI") plans. Develop CI budgeted cost reductions. Ensure maintenance of ongoing controls. Integrate activities with other unit-level functions, including Operations, Enterprise, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Regulatory. Maintain accurate records of Quality Improvement Property ("QIP") tracking sheet monitor progress of all plant wide QIP actions.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $85,000 - $163,400/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any) or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

- Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering;

- Knowledge in Design of Experiments;

- Utilizing MS Office, SAP, CAS, MS Project, and Visio to drive operational improvements throughout industrial plants;

- Coordinating Improvement Events such as Gemba Walk, 5S, or Value Stream mapping; and

- Applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to meet CI objectives.
