Job Description
This position is responsible for coordinating the effective execution of all maintenance and operations support activities for a small to medium sized maintenance contract and/or Small Capital projects and/or less complex sites/projects within the Operations & Maintenance Function. This position supervises maintenance entry level personnel and/or maintenance supervisors.
• Assist in maintaining client relationships by regular communication to better understand project operations, this communication should; appraise of Fluor activities, advise of potential improvements, assess changing needs, develop teamwork and ask for client feedback on performance
• Act as the first line of contact to the Client Plant Manager by conducting quarterly interviews and maintaining close client relationships
• Fulfill contract and Operating System Requirements (OSR)/Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP) requirements by ensuring that the duties and responsibilities of the project contract are clearly defined, documented and followed by the Fluor team
• Monitor risk as assigned by director of operations by reviewing risk on a regular basis and identifying significant business risk for Fluor; responsible for profit and loss of the site
• Identify future client requirements and up-selling opportunities by developing on-site assessments of client operations and proposing project plans
• Apply appropriate analytical tools and techniques in by assessing client organizations, acquiring client engagements with significant profitability potential and transforming the client organization from the current state to the proposed future state
• Other duties as assigned
• Ensure that the daily log and other plant records are filled out in a timely and accurate manner, including plant activities, lock Out Tag Out, security incidents, site permits, etc.
• Conduct periodic log and record reviews to ensure that tag-out procedures, equipment status, and designated administrative systems are functioning effectively
• Participate in the administrative maintenance of plant operating manuals, technical references, prints and diagrams, and preventive/predictive maintenance records
• Actively support the Maintenance Team in the execution of maintenance plans by providing support (Lockout/Tagout), equipment identification, troubleshooting, work request preparation, or other areas as needed
• Fully support and actively participate in Fluor Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs
• Complete other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or Lead Operations Technician
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Physical requirements include standing on feet for extended periods requiring stair and ladder climbing and the ability to lift to 25 pounds. Protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, and others must be worn in the performance of some duties. Working with hazardous materials may be required.
This position may require working twelve-hour shifts with the possibility of overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required by schedules, workload, and plant conditions.
All personnel is required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications
• Typically degreed, preferably in engineering or business field of study with minimum six (6) years of O&M office or site experience and minimum one (1) year experience managing small to medium somewhat complex O&M sites or projects
• Typically has minimum six (6) years of progressive construction and technical experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Other Job Requirements
• Prepare scope of work for bid packages, review bids, and make recommendations for award
• Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school is required. An Associate Degree in a technical field is desirable.
• Extensive working knowledge of the power plant industry is desirable
• Experience as a Control Room Operator or equivalent position in an operating or generating plant. Experience in the direct operation of a solar power plant preferred.
• Experience in water chemistry control, water condition analysis, water treatment facility operations, and chemical handling requirements is desired
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of industrial safety, hazardous waste management, and inspection/recording of plant parameters is highly desirable
• Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process controls desirable
• Experience reading and interpreting DCS logic
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have excellent organizational skills
