Responsiblefor operating and maintaining the plant process.
- Primary task - To operate and maintain process plant.
- To properly operate the PLC system.
- Take settling rate, check thickener bed and perform % solids test at the disc filters once per hour.
- Maintain filtration system.
- Clean 100 screen.
- Clean magnet discharge.
- Wash down complete plant floor and all other housekeeping as necessary.
- Provide proper maintenance according to maintenance schedule and assist the maintenance personnel with equipment repairs.
- Maintain diaphragm pumps.
- Fill out shift report and maintenance schedule. (Form C4-5-1)
- Other duties as necessary.
Level of education required: High school diploma or GED required.
Specific skills/experience needed: Should have a basic mechanical and electrical experience.
Must have a general knowledge of hand and power tools. Will also be required to operate heavy equipment such as a skid-loader. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Minimum 5 years work experience.
Proper safety equipment and clothing are required. (PPE) All safety equipment is provided by Harsco Minerals or is reimbursed up to a set amount.
