The Plant Manager reports to our VP of Manufacturing.
Summary: Responsible for overseeing and reporting on the following key functions for the Grafton facility:
- Health and Safety of all employees
- Operations of the Plant – Production levels, delivery to schedules and control of operating expenses.
- Employee development and discipline
Preferred education and/or experience: 2 or more years of college education. Plant/General management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge/Special Skills/Abilities Needed:
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Critical thinking skill – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Management of Personnel Resources skill – Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
