The Role:

Provide technical leadership and guide your team to successful execution of manufacturing processes. Develop new processes, standards, or operational plans in support of the organization's business strategies with a direct impact on business and/or function overall results. Influence others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Work may include identifying problems, updating, or modifying working methods that may be complex in their work area without the benefit of defined procedures. Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervises a small group of employees responsible for launch deliverables in support of the organization's business objectives
  • Position requires sound technical knowledge and expertise related to the functional area of responsibility
  • Translates business objectives to actionable deliverables for the work group
  • Supports leading new processes and methods in line with departmental goals
  • Conducts regularly scheduled Group Meetings, Communicates GM Policies & Procedures, Leadership and Safety Messages
  • Insures employees complete all mandatory GM training and any specific training related to functional responsibility
  • Assigns and manages workload for direct reports and sets individual employee and group priorities
  • Reviews deliverables and behavior, providing candid & constructive feedback and conducts performance interventions when necessary. Provides timely and consistent feedback to direct employees as appropriate
  • Formally & informally recognizes employee's contributions
  • Removes roadblocks and resolve potential issues which are brought to the supervisor's attention
  • Manage a defined budget for launch processes and assume responsibility for the maintenance of that budget

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 7+ years of Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering experience or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build and supervise teams through resolution of highly unusual and complex quality and build issues
  • Proven experience managing a budget in a manufacturing launch setting, including managing all financial planning and analysis
  • Proven ability to manage and influence other corporate Manufacturing functions, ME, GSC, Scheduling, etc
  • Proven ability to solve problems on both a singular and group-based level by utilizing continuous improvement solutions

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience managing production operations/group/team leader experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with product launches in a manufacturing environment

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $80,981-$129,360. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
